Introduction to Digital Photography

Introduction to Digital Photography is ideal for anyone who wishes to learn how to communicate their thoughts and ideas effectively and express themselves through a visual medium. Photography is the newest and fastest growing artform. The course aims to provide you with the confidence to take better photographs as well as improving your skills in composition and presentation.
The 10 week course introduces you to using a digital camera, getting the most out of post-production and processing, mentors you in photography terminology: f-stops, shutter speed, depth of field, ISO. It offers to expand the creative possibilities of portraiture, lighting your objects with available and studio light, on site practical tuition and night shooting, composition and rule of thirdsand a brief introduction to Photoshop.
What You Will Need For the Course
- Participants will need to bring their own digital camera and, where possible, its manual.
- A laptop computer is recommended but not necessary.
- It is also advisable to have a USB key to store your work.
